Wrist Bands

Parents and children will receive different colour-coded wristbands, which must be always worn. For safety reasons, parents' bands will include their child’s name, and children’s bands will include the parent's mobile number.

Exit Process

Accompanied Children: At the end of the day, parents will have to show their wristbands, which will be matched with the child’s wristband before exit. Both bands will be cut and collected to ensure safety. In case multiple children are being picked up, multiple bands will be issued, and each one will be collected.

Unaccompanied Children: If your child is unaccompanied, please inform the organisers in advance. Once unaccompanied children exit the venue, the organisers are no longer responsible for their safety.

Meals / Snacks

CHILDREN: Because of short meal and snacks breaks, we have arranged for the following Vegetarian food at a subsidised rate (amount will be communicated prior to the event):

1.      Morning Snack

2.      Lunch

3.      Afternoon Snack

Payment for children’s meals must be made during registration. Payment can be made via UPI or Cash (kindly bring the exact amount as change may not be available). Kindly note that Credit & Debit cards are NOT accepted.

PARENTS / TEACHERS: Can purchase meals/food directly from the Canteen / Cafeteria.

Water

While water is available at the venue, we suggest that you send water in a bottle with children.

Gadgets

Children are NOT allowed to use mobile phones or gadgets during the Workshops. If necessary, they may use the end-of-day session to contact their parents. Organisers are not responsible for the loss of or damage to devices.

Photography / Videography

Please feel free to take pictures of your child but avoid taking or posting pictures of other children without their parent's permission. Please avoid crowding near the stage during Certificate Distribution at the Valedictory Event. This will disrupt the event schedule.

Parent / Teacher Sessions

On both days, we will have engaging sessions designed for parents and teachers accompanying children. These sessions will focus on fostering children's reading, writing, and storytelling habits. Experienced mentors will conduct them, so please participate to learn how to encourage and grow your child’s love for reading and writing. Please see the AGENDA  for information.

Katha Story Shop

Visit the Katha Story Shop to pick up books from a curated collection for your child. We have a selection of beautifully illustrated and thoughtfully written books that help build your child's critical thinking and curiosity.

  5. Dress Comfortably: No strict dress code is required, so feel free to dress comfortably. School uniforms are not required.
  6. Stay Engaged and Curious: Participate actively in workshops, ask questions, and share your thoughts. This is your chance to learn, grow, and connect with others.
  7. Respect Everyone’s Time and Space: Keep conversations and activities focused on the workshop. Be mindful of fellow participants and follow the schedule.

  9. Confirm Attendance in Advance and register participation.

Don’ts

  1. Don’t Be Late: Arriving late disrupts everyone's schedule. Plan your journey and aim to be on time.
  2. Don’t Forget to Bring Your Essentials: Please double-check your bag for all required items. Stationery and your ID card are must-haves for the day.
  3. Avoid Leaving Early: Stay for the entire program to maximise each session. Early departures mean missed learning and valuable interaction.
  4. Don’t Disrupt or Disturb Others: Maintain a respectful atmosphere. Avoid loud conversations or disruptions that could impact others' experiences.
  5. Don’t Ignore Your Health and Safety: Stay hydrated, take breaks if needed, and let a coordinator know if you need assistance.
  6. Avoid Bringing Unnecessary Items: Bring only the essentials. Large bags, extra devices, or valuables that may distract you should be left at home.
  7. Don’t hesitate to ask Questions: If you are unsure about anything, ask! Our team is here to help make your experience as smooth as possible.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided for child participants. We are collaborating with our venue partners to secure subsidized fees for the two days. We will communicate the final amount, which can be paid directly at the venue after completing registration on the first day of the event, either via UPI payment or in cash.
