The Countdown for the Katha Utsav Finale 2024 has begun.

What an incredible journey it has been! We are overflowing with excitement and gratitude as we celebrate the profound impact of storytelling at this year's Katha National Writing Festival! 

With over 3,500 budding writers from 500+ Pincodes from 25 states, it's a privilege to be part of such a diverse and inspiring gathering. Out of these talented young voices, around 175 remarkably made it to the finale—a feat that rivals the acceptance rates of the most prestigious institutions like Harvard or MIT! But yes, this is not about competition, winners or losers. Each story shared is a victory in its own right, woven with beauty and creativity. 

A massive shoutout to the parents whose unwavering support has been a cornerstone for these young storytellers. Your encouragement fuels their passion and dreams! 

We are incredibly grateful to our venue sponsor for the Finale, the iconic @Madras Christian College,  Chennai, for providing such a fantastic opportunity for these children to let their imaginations soar. Together, we aim to ensure that every child in India has the chance to become a storyteller, bridging gaps of social and cultural integration among children from various backgrounds.

The workshop mentors are the true pillars of this initiative.
